Warren Storm is a long-time Louisiana drummer and singer.  He’s firmly in the swamp pop genre and has had many, many hits, like “The prisoner’s song.”  Lately, he’s a member of the swamp pop revival group, Lil’ Band O’ Gold with accordionist Steve Riley and many others.  He is definitely Cajun, speaking only French until the third grade!  I don’t think this song is his, as it has been covered by Rod Bernard, Guitar Gable, the Boogie Kings, Wanda Jackson, and others.  This performance took place on the steps of the Cabildo in the French Quarter of New Orleans.   And, yes, that’s Buckwheat Zydeco on organ in the foreground.
