The University of Louisiana Lafayette Press has published a book collecting the only Cajun French comic strip, Bec Doux et ses amis.  The strip ran from 1969 through 1992 in several south Louisiana newspapers, starting with the Kaplan Herald.   The book is entitled Tout Bec Doux, or All Beck Doux.  “Bec Doux” means “Sweet Lips” in English.  And English translations are included.  For example:  A tourist asks if it’s ok to swim in the bayou; he’s worried about snakes.  Bec Doux says, sure, there’s no snakes — the alligators are them all!  Looks like a great holiday present!
