If you’ve got plans anywhere in south Louisiana, from Lake Charles to Lafayette to New Orleans, be sure to check your event to be sure it hasn’t been postponed.  The weather services are predicting up to 20 inches of rain this weekend.   And be wary of road conditions, as flooding is rampant in the area.  Don’t drive or walk through standing water.  It takes only a few inches to cause an auto to hydroplane and less than six inches will knock a person down.  Better to stay home this weekend and dance another day!

Update:  the Cajun Zydeco Festival in St. Martinville is off but the Original Southwest Zydeco Music Festival is set to continue.
