“I’m here to tell you a little bit about what a Cajun is,” Dewey Balfa says to a huge group of elementary school students.  He’s sitting on stage between Buckwheat Zydeco and Nathan Abshire.  There’s actually several songs in this 4:18 clip.  The first is the Creole song “Oh Bye Bye.”  The second is “Jolie blonde,” the “Cajun national anthem.”   The source of the clip is Yasha Aginsky‘s documentary “Les Blues de Balfa” according to the notes.  Love the rapt attention on the faces of the kids at the beginning, and how one of them starts air playing along.   That’s Dewey’s nephew Tony Balfa playing with Dewey and Buckwheat at the beginning.
