Everyday I look at info from all over the Internet about Cajun, Louisiana Creole and zydeco music.  One recurring theme is music played at local festivals from all over.  Every corner of this country has a music festival that specializes in one or more of these musical styles or at least includes an artist or band in one of these genres.  If you love the music, get out and attend these festivals.  Listening outdoors is a treat, you’ll meet others who share your interests, and you can do some dancing!  Or at least watch.  And spend some money while you’re there, on a drink, something to eat, a shirt, or other craft.  You’ll be helping to ensure the future of the music we all love and supporting your local arts and music organizations, non- or pro-profit.  And tell ’em I sent you!  Merci!
