One of the best bands in Cajun music, Steve Riley & the Mamou Playboys, plays Jazz Fest on Thursday, May 5, 2011. David Greely (violin, saxophone) just left the group, and has been replaced by Kevin Wimmer. Here they are playing “Bon Rêve” (“Good Dream“), the title song of a 2003 CD. It’s about the death of the great Creole fiddler, Canray Fontenot. Riley shows his fiddle prowess with David Greely before switching to accordion. And that’s Sam Broussard on vocals and guitar. Don’t miss them!
