The third (Baton Rouge) Advocate interview with a Grammy nominee has appeared.  It is with Cedric Watson, leader of Bijoux Creole.  The nominated recording is Creole Moon – Live From Blue Moon Saloon.  [As I write this, Clifton Chenier is playing Keep on scratching from Bon ton roulet Arhoolie  CD-345 (1990) in the background. ]  He talks about the difficulty of playing the Cajun (diatonic) accordion and influences like Metadeth and Metallica.  There’s also a bit about playing with a kora player.  See this photo from last summer: http://www.flickr.com/photos/witty_name/4698179556/.
