KOCZ-FM 103.7 is operated by the nonprofit Southern Development Foundation, the same group that puts on the Southwest Louisiana Zydeco Music Festival.  It’s a low-power FM station broadcasting to the Opelousas, Louisiana area since the summer of 2003.  As their history says, “S.D.F. plans to use the station to promote zydeco, the traditional black creole music that was born in Opelousas and St. Landry Parish.”   Their broadcast schedule lists zydeco from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.   The schedule also includes oldies, jazz, r&b, gospel and hip-hop.   Give it a try!
