Louisiana Folk Roots‘ Dewey Balfa Cajun and Creole Heritage Week starts today at Chicot State Park and runs through April 23.   Participants come from all over the U.S. and six other countries to learn about Cajun and Louisiana Creole music, language, food and culture.  Classes at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels.   Learn accordion and fiddle from working musicians like Gina Forsyth, Kristi Guillory and Dirk Powell.   Chicot is located north of Ville Platte, Louisiana.

As they say:  Arrête pas la musique! (Don’t stop the music!)
