A small piece in the Hereford (U.K.) Times announces a performance by Sarah Savoy and the Francadians Jan. 21, 2010.  Sarah is the daughter of Cajun music longtimers Marc and Anne Savoy.  First it was brother Jo-El and the Red Stick Ramblers, then Wilson’s Pine Leaf Boys.  Now it’s sister Sarah’s turn, with a new band.  The article doesn’t peg them as having an old-time Cajun sound, but more inspired by 1940s and 1950s jazz and honky-tonk music, “singing Hank Williams songs in French.”  Bring it on!  And don’t forget mom’s other project, Anne Savoy and Her Sleepless Knights, with a 1930s string jazz sound.  Festival International is just around the corner!
